Montenero d’Orcia, located at the foot of Mount Amiata, is a small and charming village surrounded by that land called Val d’Orcia Grossetana (in the province of Grosseto) and which borders on the Val d’Orcia Senese (in the province of Siena). Surrounding lands are almost entirely devoted to agriculture and mostly to the development of new viticulture plants. As far as it can see, the human eye would catch the new vineyards, most of them belonging to Montecucco, whose view is interrupted only by those centuries-old Cultivar Olivastra Seggianese’s olive groves. The agricultural holding “Montesalario” is situated in this exact environment, which view could amaze the tourists, and still overwhelm the local inhabitants. This family-run business is located on the western side of the mountain, 250 mt above sea level, and can be reached both from the North and South of Italy through the highway 223 Siena-Grosseto, exit Paganico. Within the gentle hills of the Val d’Orcia Grossetana, they possess about 5 hectars and their precious products comes from these delicate fields.
